In this project for the FWU, the first digital textbook in Germany was published. The technical implementation includes a content management system for the publisher to enter and edit multimedia content. In addition, reader apps were developed for iOS and Android, which students and teachers can use to access the interactive book. In 2016, this project was awarded the Digita - German Educational Media Prize.
The BioBook is a digital biology book for grades 5 and 6 of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia that uses and integrates the currently existing variety of different media and task formats. It combines classic text and image elements with audio and video files, animations and interactions. In addition to the view for pupils, the teacher's guide for teachers has been integrated into the textbook. This means that you will always find didactic tips where you need them, i.e. directly next to the relevant lesson content. We are very proud that the digita jury has recognized the quality of this medium with the digita award in the general education/secondary level I category.
